"Plans don't work in India"

This morning I woke up on a rooftop.

It's a nice rooftop, for 40 rupees! Covered in mattresses and a comfortable clutter of djembi drums, philosophical books and sleeping hippies it's pretty sweet...

Although you should watch out for falling coconuts.

You know sometimes it's nice to have plan, it's nice to have focus and know what you're doing next instead of sitting around in cafes with old dutch Sadhus smoking chillums all day. Although that's nice sometimes as well.
I was going to do this voluntary work in Mapusa working with street kids but it turns out - even though i called the office several times before - when i got there i was told a need some silly form from the British bureau or something saying I'm safe to work with children. Seeing as i worked with babies in McLeod, however, I didn't think I needed a form or anything of the kind! This is the place I've seen health certificates written on paper napkins and bus tickets scrawled across my hand.
Whatever. So I'm staying in Arambol a bit longer. I was going to go stay in Anjuna for a while but I find I enjoy myself more, and get more out of a place if i really settle there for a while and get to know the people :)
If only I knew where i was going next!!
